The Missouri Valley Conference recognized a total of 144 Bradley student-athletes with Wednesday's announcement of the 2013-14 MVC Academic Awards. Helping highlight the lengthy list of honorees were former softball players Bailiegh Basham (Mattoon, Ill./Mattoon/Lake Land C.C.) and Mariah Cole (Springfield, Ill./Chatham Glenwood), who were two of eight Braves to receive the President's Council Academic Excellence Award.
